Born and raised in NZ but I don't live there any more -- NYC since 1996. Does that still qualify me to post in this group?

I would say so... You might be the first Kiwi, but you're not the first All Blacks fan. You are an All Blacks fan, right?

We welcome all comers! I'm reminded of the only Kiwi I ever met, when I worked in London. I knew him for over a month before I realized his name was Glen, not 'Glin'.

to the forum. A ride report you might be interested in. It stalled out for a bit when Ellen went down, then they shifted to a single bike, geared it up and are now back on the road. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=789269

You might be the first Kiwi, but you're not the first All Blacks fan. You are an All Blacks fan, right? Um, it's kind of mandatory... especially if you leave the country! (Actually, to be honest, I don't actually follow any sports too much. Sorry!)

I spent a brief time in NZ and was stricken with the Rugby fever...rarely if ever get a chance to watch the matches, but I try to follow online.

I'm on the board of the Kiwi Club of NY, with connections to the Consulate and various other trade and government agencies. I can see rugby if I really want to.

Buddy of mine just got back from Wanganui. He'd been there since early January. Loved it there. Took him days to get over the jet-lag.

One of the few parts of Te Ika a Maui (North Island) that I haven't been to, although I've been close. Rugged, remote, wonderful terrain. I missed the opportunity to take a 4-day canoe trip down the Whanganui River once, because I was on a canoe trip down another river at the time...
