Hey Pantsman wasuuuuuuup! Yes, the videos were for a prospective trade deal I am trying to spin. I have been wanting a dual-sport for about 100 years now and there is a guy in Maryland who has a rather clean looking 2000 Suzuki DR 650 he'd be willing to trade for my ole Hawk. I jumped on it like a dog on a bone. The guy with the DR had a new 700 Nighthawk back in the day and had to sell it and has always wanted another one since. Ah the power of nostalgia.
The only problem is I have to "meet him in the middle" in Morgantown, West Virginia to trade the bikes. I don't have a way to transport the ole Hawk by myself and I have called everybody I know with a pick up truck. I have my fingers crossed that a friend of my dad's with a pickup can help me get the bikes back and forth to WV. I never was one for long distance riding and having a pickup to transport the bike would make my life 100 times easier. I must say I do miss South Louisiana quite a lot as it had a greatly positive effect on me. I hope our paths cross again one day too.

Hey Brittles, maybe you will run into the new owner. He says he is from Snow Hill, Maryland? The new owner of my now previous bike had a RWB back in the day as his first new bike. In a sense I couldn't not do the trade.

Snow Hill huh? Just rode through there last weekend.
Seem like a lot of distance between you two for a trade. Did he ride all the way to OH to get your bike?

Yep, he towed his bike all the way to where I am here in Ohio. He wanted my old RWB pretty bad.

I like the DR but, it must have been hard to part with the RWB for it. I don't know if I could have done it if I were you. That would have been a really tough decision to make. Of course, I have wanted a RWB 700S since they came out in 86 and am hoping that someday I will find one cheap.

Y'all are not just a lil bit biased, lol? Honestly though I have wanted a dual sport for years. I had two good years with the Hawk but I am not very monagamous with my bikes and every couple of years I like to get something different.
