turn signal suggestions for an 84 700s

Hi,

Anyone out there have any recommendations for replacement turn signals for the Nighthawk 700s?  Right now my bike has some aftermarket ones on there that look pretty terrible -  I'm looking for something OEM, or something made to look just like the originals.

I found these on ebay, has anyone had any luck with them?

They appear to be correct buy you would still need the stalks which can be a bit pricey. There are some aftermarket stalks available but can be tough to find. Good luck.

If someone wants to chime in with where they found NOS or similar stalks, I'd appreciate it. I busted one the other day, and it's currently held together with a lot of superglue.

This is a good product at a reasonable price.  You cannot buy directly from them, but can get them through just about any local bike dealer.

They look cool, but all of them I have seen are obnoxiously short and will probably give you nothing more than a great view of your shoulders.

The 650 signals are different than the 700s.

Yeah, chrome vs black. I don't know if they could be swapped. They do look the same otherwise.

Are the front t/s on the 650 3 wire (running light) or 2 wire?  IIRC, the 700 was 2-wire.

Pants, the 700 is three wire. Both turn and running lights in there. You've been having so much fun on Ol' Yella that you forgot.

What about sterm... I don't mind the flasher itself... but any suggestion about the sterm and where to mount it? Where can we find the original style for the front signals?

Buell turn signals (I used them on my KLR650) (two wire only)

Here is the info-

Left signal - Buell part number p/n Y0526.K

Right signal - Buell part number p/n Y5027.K

Cost - $11.99 each

The only difference I could see between them was that the slot used to remove/pry the lens off is different from side to side. I think it's this way so that the slot is hidden when mounted (on the bottom).

I also picked up some male banana connectors from a Kawi dealership, as the Buell connectors are too large to work with the stock wiring.

I bought signal stay replacements from TAS motorsports a month or two ago.  They are near stock.  Price was right at $15 for the front pair shipped to my door.

My buying experience was mixed however.  TAS gets the part from their Dixie distributor.  Unfortunately, I received two lefts.  After bugging TAS for awhile I finally got the right one sent out as well.  So I ended up with two front left stays, and one right, for $15.

A couple of us have had a bad experience with TAS recently. We ended up having to get our money back after not receiving the signal stalks...and it took many phone calls and emails with empty promises from TAS.

I mounted some old stock signals with some busted shafts to the bottom bolts of the front fairing.  I'll try to get some pics up later today.
