Working on getting my 85 700s started.  The other day it would turn over, and the headlight came on.  However, when I went to try it today, I get no indication of starting, and the headlight is out.  I was working on the turn signals and had been moving things around under the front fairing.  What could I have done?  I can't see anything unplugged or anything.

Is the battery drained?  Are the connections

good/tight?  Do you have a good ground?

Ok, well they're back on now.  Something was apparently loose, but that's a little scary that I still don't know what it was.  If anyone has any ideas that would be great.  Its something that is connected to both the headlight and starter, everything else works normally.

Mine just did that, the switch was messed up. Clean, stretch the springs, lube and good to go..
