Met another member of the forum for the first time.  Sleepycow lives about 90 minutes from me so we met half way at a Dunkin' Donuts (they are everywhere in Massachusetts).  We planned a rough outline of the route, taking highway 62 then make are way north to a town called Petersham and loop back around until we reached 119 and back to 495 where we would part ways.

Sleepycow and his new to him 650.  The bike may be a bit worn here and there but the motor is strong and very few miles, he got a good one for a great price.

A quick rest at the end of hwy 62.  I had gotten confused on directions and sleepy had to come back to find me.  The roads in Massachusetts are less than clear.

One of the many small lakes populating the New England countryside.

The Olde Time New England Seafood Restaurant.  Earns a dubious distinction as the second most recommended item on the menu is chicken nuggets.

Sleepycow presenting the Nighthawks!

Stopping off along hwy 119 we decided to try a few riding shots.

Afterwards sleepy is contemplating using the rocks to jump across the creek.  I really thought he was going to try but he decided against it as he didn't want to ride in wet boots.

One last shot, used the drybrush and canvas filter in PhotoShop.

Thanks to sleepycow for riding with me yesterday.  He's a great guy and a fun riding partner.  Also the only person I know riding who's bike is older than he is.

Great pics FB! It's like you had your own personal Killboy.  Hap1  I wish I had a member who lived ~30 minutes away that would go ride all the time...scratch that, I'd be happy with roads like those instead!  mol

Nice photos, Its always fun too meet another Nighthawk rider. I've been riding mine for nine years now and have only met up with one other Nighthawk rider in person. He was an ADV member riding across country from New York.

That was a great trip, had a lot of fun. Thanks for taking the photos. Next time I will bring my camera :)

Fish is a great riding buddy -- he didn't even get mad when I almost smashed into his bike at a stop sign trying to avoid a truck that was coming up on the left...well, it wasn't THAT close, but I think I made him a little nervous!

And I'm really happy about the fact that we put in a 7 hour day and I still had gas left when I pulled into the driveway...didn't even have to switch to reserve.

Really like the riding shots.  Those 2 650's look real sharp together.

Great report, and good looking bikes.

If I rode a bike older than me, it would have to be a Harley, or an Indian, that's about all they had back then.

Being a Texas Boy, I'd rather ride a Horse.  ImaPoser

Thanks everyone, getting the riding shots was a lot of fun.  Sleepycow has a better camera than I and next time I hope we get to give his a try.

And I'm really happy about the fact that we put in a 7 hour day and I still had gas left when I pulled into the driveway...didn't even have to switch to reserve.

I was surprised and happy about that too.
