...because I've never been here before. I bet one of you has, though.

My foam handlebar grips have come apart in pieces. I know I can buy more foam grips, HOWEVER the later-model Nighthawk 750 has a sleeve on BOTH sides. There is not only a throttle sleeve on the right, but also one on the left by the choke cable.

Normally the replacement grips come with one side bigger around than the other to accomodate the one throttle sleeve, but what can I do to get a set to fit the NH?

This is wrong, someone must have added one to yours somewhere down the line.  Mine only came with the one on the throttle side and I bought it new back in 2002.

My heated grips have sleeves on both sides but they are different diameters just like normal grips. Cant you just cut the sleeve off the choke side of the bars?   scratcher

I still have my factory grips and will send them to you if you can use them.

All I could suggest is to cut a piece of thin walled DOM or round tubing with the correct inner diameter to fit over the bar, and the correct outer diameter to fit the new grips.  I'd secure it with a silicone adhesive or RTV.

UNLESS I read your post completely backwards and you're bike has the sleeves on both sides.  In that case, why not remove the sleeve?  I see no use for it on the clutch side.

Well Heck, it was only a few days ago and I've got it in my head that the choke assembly was part of that sleeve. But now I see it's not!
Wow, too much holiday celebrating takes its toll!

OK it won't be any problem at all to cut off the left sleeve and fit some grips. Right now I'm running on just the plastic sleeves and it's not very nice.

Actually Deadly, your bike has been so clean from day one, if your grips have some life left in them I'd be glad to buy them from you. I've got this set of cheap foamies but I'd much prefer the stock grips and put the foamies on the long-distance Concours. PM going out...

Thanks for that information, I was sure that the left sleeve was stock for some reason...

I know every owner the bike has ever had, they are all still living in my city. A yankee that I see every year on the Christmas toy ride (take no offense, I did marry one), then the  dude straight off the boat from China who sells the best Beef Lo Mein in town, then me. None of them ride as hard as I do, but they all took good care of the machine. But those Goldwing bars had to go, they were comfy but they were hitting my knees in the turns....
