"Hang on lady, we going for a ride" - Short Round

This past Saturday I met up with ak85lp (Paul) and Derb (Brent) and we took a drive to the nations capital, Ottawa. We then hopped the border to the province of Quebec and and took a drive through Gatineau Park.

Its very a scenic drive through the park, which is at the start of the Gatineau mountain area located in Quebec's Outaouais region.

We were warned to watch our speed and we were told that the Quebec Provincial Police monitor the park very closely. Yet we didn't see one police officer the entire time we rode. The posted speed limit in the park is 60 Km/h and we averaged 65 Km/h most of the time. Which was smart, as the park is heavily used by cyclists and hikers too.

Anyway, it was a good day of riding and here is a video I quickly through together with some pics and a short riding video...group shot at the end.

Video is in WMV format and should automatically play with Windows Media Player.
If you're having issues viewing the video, right click and Save Link As or Save Target As, to save it to your hard drive first.

Here is a link to the video in flash format on BikePics.com. Seems to download faster but quality not quite as good.

Cool video - that curvy road looks inviting, but the tar snakes make my hands sweat.   Hap1

Bikes look nice.  You still sporting the Mac exhaust?  Like it?

Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, those road snakes were crazy...tonnes of 'em. Quebec is known for its notoriously bad roads. The roads in the park are actually in excellent shape compared to the roads not in the park.

The MAC exhaust is awesome! I've got it dialed in and the bike hauls butt! Took the wife for a ride yesterday and she commented on how nice it was as its quieter then the supertrapp.
