 Cry
Hi,
I have a 1984 Honda Nighthawk 750S. When turned on, it will start, but when it gets warm and i turn it off and back on, the starter motor won't turn it over. But when it cools down, it starts again.
Does anyone know whats going on? Been to multiple garages and no where knows a thing. Do I need a new starter motor, and if so does anyone have one or know where i can get one?!!?
Thank

Sounds like it's an electrical problem.  Could be starter button, could be solenoid, could be battery, could be a number of different things.  There is a great thread that will help you get going here.

Oh, and  welcome  Let's see some photos of the bike when you get a chance.

Hi trev t and  welcome

84 750s eh?...Are you in Canada too?

I had the same issue you are describing...starts fine cold then barely turn over when hot. My issue was the starter. It was worn and when it warmed up it grounded out. I resolved it by swapping the starter with one that I had as a spare with lower mileage.
You can get rebuild kits for our starters on eBay, if you find that this is your problem too.
