I've tried to remove the left rear suspension on my 84' nighthawk 700, when i try to remove the bottom part of the suspension, the screw that anchors the suspension to the rear drum comes out. i don't want that because i want to be able to do is change the suspension. all i need to remove is a nut that attaches to it and for the life of me I cannot get that thing loose. I hope I think i'm doing this right. thanks for looking at this. submitted is a picture of what i'm talking about.

I let the nut, that was stuck, set over night covered in wd-40. I tightened it a little and it loosened right up. woop!!!

So I assume the nut is corroded onto the stud. Cant you just go ahead and remove the whole thing, seperate them (use some WD40) and replace the stud?

Oh i've tried there are washers on either side of the screw that its keeping it stuck in the suspension hole, and to my luck the screw is an odd shaped one, it's wider on one than the other so finding another one like it will be rather hard.
