So I had the entire day to myself for a change, I new I was going for a ride but did not know where to go. I figured I'd take a ride to the Eagles Peak campground in Robesonia pa and make our camping reservations for August. Well 213 miles later our reservations are made, ear to ear grin on my face and some great twisty roads were concurred.

I wanted to get an early start but I kind of slept in a little (had a few colds ones last night). So i finally got on the road by 10am. I only had one destination in mind and that was the camp ground. Made it there in about an hour and 45 minutes. After that I topped off the gas tank and started riding, when I saw a cool looking road I just took it. My ride took me on roads I would of never road before, all off of the beaten path. After a few hours I pulled over (had no idea where I was), took my gps out of my tail bag (I don't have a gps mount yet). Turned it on and set it for home. About 7 hours and 213 miles later I arrived home with the biggest smile and a soar butt and camping reservations for August. Another great nighthawk adventure. Enjoy the pics.

Some Twistie roads.

Saw these beautiful guys and had to get some pics.

Some awesome scenery.

That is it for now.

Is there still BLM and national forest dispersed camping in PA and New England in general?

Just wondering about whether I should go to East or not...

Sorry BB, I don't know the answer. We are just getting started with the whole camping thing, I'm a camping noob for sure.

Nevermind. Some of us are cheap and like better camps when it comes to camping.
In case you don't know and like to be away from crowds: National Forests/BLM land are free camping though you have to be self contained. It beats the stuffing out of places like the grand canyon where it's a year reservation and $50/night to be parked 20 feet from your noisy neighbor.

I've been camping for over 200 days since December and have yet to pay a penny for it.

Sounds like a great ride HH.  The weather looks perfect for a day long cruise in those photos.

Fun, fun , fun!  Thanks for the ride.
Your pix reminded me of my trip in the spring through NJ to Milford, Pa. - lots of, "Hey, that's a nice looking road, let's take it!"  claps
