After secretly searching around for a while now I found and bought a new bike last weekend. I picked up a 1996 Suzuki Bandit 600S with 12K miles on it. Unfortunately the previous owner had sprayed all the plastics flat primer black so it's got some cosmetics to work out but it runs like a bandit if you'll pardon the pun. Sad as it to say the Nighthawk is now for sale. The wife won't let me keep both bikes plus my other cafe racer project so the 650 Nighthawk is in the for sale section of the forum. http://nighthawk-forums.com/index.php/topic,10758.0.html It's been a great bike but it always was my 2nd choice of Nighthawks. Here's some pics of the new toy.... I'm already in talks with a guy about new/used plastics to replace the primered ones, which I'd probably sell on Ebay later on. I'm thinking of keeping the tank black but glossy and having factory red plastics with a black stripe on the tail.

I agree, I can't believe the jackass even sprayed the windsield. He said his plan was to paint the bike Army green.

Ride it for a while before you dump money into the plastics & such. Seriously. I LOVED my bandit -- on paper. Then I rode it, and loved it less. After I went on a couple of longer rides (200+ in a day), I couldn't WAIT to get back on my NH. Granted, I had a 2001 so there were differences.
p.s. - not being negative, just sayin.

I'm afraid I won't have that luxury. The wife won't let me keep both for long since I need to sell a bike to pay the taxes and title for the new camper we just bought after I "borrowed" the money for the Bandit from the money we got from selling the old camper.

yeah the "murdered out" craze is hopefully wrapping up.. He's obviously trying to boost his post count to access the classifieds section
so.. you're saying that going to the new member forum on your first day and 'welcoming' the last 25 people that joined this forum is a bad thing?

Yeah, I saw the total of 27 posts and one look at his recent posts made that clear.

You look confused, I will try to explain. Six plus posts to a thread that didn't have any in 6 months and from a new member, not too shabby.

I don't look confused. The emoticon is called wacko. Which is my reaction to anyone who thinks that a new member upping his post count by posting inane comments to long dead threads in order to access the classifieds is "stimulating discussion".
I swear, it's like talking to a brick wall.

Why even have the post count rule if someone can post 25 random things anywhere he pleases, as quickly as he pleases? Doesn't that defeat the purpose the rule, which I assume was meant to instill a certain degree of trust between members before a sale?
Not being sarcastic at all here.
