Wow LL, really glad you are OK. You demonstrated a very cool head and some fine riding skills in what could have been for most a real panic situation.

Now, about those VHS tapes.  poke

Whoa! Glad your ok. I almost had a bungie cord lock up my rear wheel while ride. Thankfully when I pulled up to the stoplight next to the guy who I thought was a jerk for yelling something at me (Couldn't understand him), pointed to the cord dangling next to the wheel.

Good job keeping the shiny side up.

And like I always say bungee cords ARE the DEVIL! Trying to kill our fellow Nighthawkers and all.

LL: Glad you rode out the slide safely

Saddlebags and TailBag are the way to go if you carry stuff often. A Cargo net is useful and IMO a little more secure than a Bungee Cord if you dont carry heavy or bulky stuff often. Although I did commute to school for more than 2 years with a cargo net to hold my backpack without any problems.

Bungee cords can be the devil, but I've never had one cause a problem when I hooked it up.  Left unhooked as useless as tits on a boar.  I agree on the cargo net.  I've got one over my backpack and will be adding another one for future securement.  Just got to check everything twice b4 riding away.  I guess I'm getting CRS disease.
