Hi
Just signed up on here  smiler

Brought an old 1982 Nighthawk 650 recentley needs loads doing to it but still theres no rush.

Need a little help on a few things but will save that for latter.

Quick question however .. i have no key for the helmet lock and need to remove the rails. Any ideas folks besides drilling the lock out ?  scratcher

Hi!  I have the same bike as you and the key you have to start the bike is also the same key that works the helmet lock.  Welcome to the forum welcome

You need to gather up the other Europeans and have a Nighthawk Rally.  super

Good luck with the restoration. I just finished with an 83 650.

Unless the ignition switch has been replaced at some time.

My ignition key doesnt work in my helmet lock either really annoying hope you get it sorted
