Name brand, ive owned pretty much nothing but hondas i really don't know why, it started with a ATC185S then a Mini Trail 50 a ATC70, a metro scoot a CH80 Elite and the 700S. I get a sled cheap as hell or free every year just to tinker around with, they have bee John Deeres for some reason. Just fun stuff to play around with in my free time. Not pictured is the "race" tractor lol. But yeah, fun stuff.

I've always wondered what it's like to ride a snowmobile.  Obviously, we don't get any opportunity down here for that.  Is the John Deere sled steered with a rudder style handle?  Or is that just the picture playing tricks on me?

Its steered by two skis up front, they get going pretty fast, but if the snow is deep forget it, it becomes a challenge. the all green one had a 440 and the silver had i think a 340cc

to ride a sled is exhilerating to say the least, to really ride a sled you stand up and carve more than anything unless you are on groomed trail, in powder you turn the skis opposite of the way you are turning.

i always had bigbore150hp sleds all capable of 100 plus miles an hour, not fast by bike speeds but you have to remember you are off road, picking lines at speed is an art imo,

my current sled is only 80 hp but still capable of 90 and she is a four smoke, meaning good on gas, where i live the snow is always 4' or better deep so my sled was always my weapon of choice, meaning i bought them new every year, i can wear a sled out in 4000 miles beleive it or not,,,,,,,,, not that they can't be fixed but the tech changes quickly and ya want a new one, i stopped buying new when they went up over 10 grand.

when i rode it was like the old west hardly any cops , since then they are now out in force so i ride the beaten path for the most part, cold really isn't a concern unless ya stop.

if you are really riding you are sweating imo heres a vid and pics of my toys.

my wheeler is more to plow than play anymore, but i did enter into a local quad terrain race and took first place all 3 times, it was cool and if i had the money i would of probably followed the circuit, but i would of needed a better quad i beat her pretty good to stay in front of the outlanders in the field, i'd rather win with hp than bruteforce i had to knock a guy off the trail.he played the keep me behind him line too often, i passed on the inside and had to move him over a little rubbings racing right. i got a cool trophy plaque hahahaha

my current sled

my fastest sled but only a 700 still a 140hp stock my sleds never were stock for long

my zr8 i traded for my new f7

i had a pro xr 8 just no pics as i traded that for my phazer

this is my first new sled 98 xc7 very fast and capable for the time period,

i had to stop to get my buddy unstuck sticking myself hp got me out though,

my plow buggy is a rincon told ya we get snow up here hahaha

 all my hondas

heres my idea of a station wagon we just all had to show up at the same place hahaha

watch up to the 5 min mark to see how ya need to read lines quickly the snow was not optimal there was alot of sliding goin on that day,

Wow, RIDERED! I see you suffer from the addiction of speed as well.   giggle

It's been a lot of years since I've owned a sled. Unfortunately, the area I live in has become so over populated and over built up with houses and shopping centers that there is no place to ride close to home anymore. If you want to ride a sled around here, you have to trailor them some place else now.  Sad

I'm digging the new Yamaha you have in the first pic.   thumb

I've always wondered what it's like to ride a snowmobile.

It's one heck of an adrenalin rush!!!!  The fastest I've ever gone on a snowmobile was 110mph on a frozen lake.  At that speed it's pretty hard to even see the speedometer from all the bouncing around.

yea off road speed is so addicting, ya never know whats over the ridge which adds excitement, which in turns adds adrenalin lmao

yea i have an enclosed trailer but it's more of a shed in the summer, i trailererd when i was younger, now i just ride right out of my driveway, putting more miles on your truck than your sled sucks. i watch hundreds go by each day, thankfully they bypass my trails leaviing fresh tracks to me.

nothing like waking up to a 4' dumping imo, no one around here will ride in the deep snow as it requires a little skill, i always break trails and watch people follow me, i make it as hard as i can for them to stay in my path, they like to go straight hahaha

yea not many people can tell yea how fast they are going on a sled, way to much going on at 100 unless your ona frozen lake if your on a trail they get lucky and get a glimpse imo,
