Today I'll taking part in the escort ride for the Traveling wall. http://www.avtt.org/     It's making it's way across the U.S. and stops for escort to it's next place of rest....   Last year I was going to ride it but it was very wet, I'll take some pictures and post them to.

OH my Gosh, this was very moving...  Stage area 3 miles from home. I roll in thinking I'll be OK get kinda up front. Wrong. With in 30 minuets after I parked for Stage, there must have been 500 bikes how up, Was Amazing. Count was pushing 1200 Bike, Now I can say I've rode with a crowd...   They stopped the Interstate so we could pull out and start the staggered ride.  I think some folks were not happy as it was 6:00 rush hour...   Every over pass had fire trucks or and piles of folks waving flags, waving, saluting etc.

We made into the town of Mount Vernon and the took us a back way through old town and neighbor hoods.  There were many many people out with there house flags waving, video taping and on. You get the drift of it all.....

We ended up at the Casino, I pulled off into a gravel parking lot with some others. I didn't want to get stuck in that crowd, had no idea how that head light was adjusted, haven't checked in the dark after I put the bike back together....

So here are a few pics, I have a pile. Gone on Vacation for a few days tomorrow so I'll try and add some later.  The wall will be put together tomorrow with another ride and cerimonies. It will be up till noon Sunday, I will try and get may Butt home and up there before it's over with........  Thanks for looking....

The over flow side grew to HUGE the last 15 minute of stage.   There were some very nice rides there....

Looks like an awesome time...I just can't stand riding in mobs like that, no matter the cause.

I just looked up that website for 16a and now I'm  Sad it's so far away.  Cry

Wasn't bad, had to keep the eye's open though. We hit 50 for 10 seconds then back to 23 mph.  I was in the middle, some of them Hog Boys last night had big chips on there shoulders. One about got Dead in a pancake situation when we were in the 50 MPH mode....    The guy that owns the wall died 2 weeks ago, his wife and son were there...    Still numb from it all..

More pics next week, I had a few hog boys wanted to fall me back on back roads coming home then take off like a shot. Figured they smoke me, HA, They didn't know I had the Cam Mod  ricky    Back on the Free way I ran with a different pack of Hog's, there were running 75-85 for about 15 miles so I stayed up on there butt's.  Crap that was loud... In 6th @ 6K that NH takes off with that Mod....

It's a great cause, and I know it must have been an awesome experience, but from the traffic standpoint, it sounds like my idea of motorcycle hell.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your dedication to this project. We all have lives with lots of other stuff going on, and it's inspiring to see so many people willing to take time out from their daily grind to honor those who have sacrificed for their country.

Not to  threadjacked but I was just on that road today in the cage with SOQS and my son. I kept saying that it would be a great motorcycle road.

You don't need a Cam Mod on a 700s to smoke a Hardley... poke
