Hi all,
So glad to find a forum for our bikes...love the internet!
My name is Rick and I'm up here on the west coast of Canada.
Having an issue with the charging sustem on my bike (83 NH 550). I recently picked up a regulator/rectifier for the bike only to get home and find that the new one has a male plug and a female plug..old one has two male plugs? I returned to the bike shop and they did some sleuthing only to report back with according to all info they can find the new part 'should' be correct.
Obviously I'm a little confused....can any other owners of the same bike tell me what your plug set up is for this part? My bike doesn't look like anything has been hacked.....debating whether I should cut and slice to plug this part in and see what happens.
Thoughts?

Thanks

Welcome, from another 'One Year Wonder' rider.

I wish I could give you some advice on the plugs, but (thankfully) I haven't had to tear into my electrical system at all. But I'm sure someone here will chime in with some good advice soon.

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, would love to know what the plug set up is on others bikes. I looked it over again yesterday and see no indication that anything has been changed from stock, so I'm really scratching my head on this one puzzled
