I've got a droid phone and I wondered how to post pics to the forum directly to the forum. I currently use my digital camera, load the pics onto my mac, play with them, then put my pics in picasa and link to them. Seems lengthy, but uploading is faster.

Tbante and I are riding the BRP later this month and I wanted to post pics as we go.

Good ideas welcomed.

I use the Photobucket app on mine so I can transfer them here to the forum.

Check to see if there is a Picasa app available for your phone.

You press and hold your finger on the link and a box will open up with the copy/paste options.

When you paste the link into the body of your message here, you do the same thing...press and hold your finger on the message body and the box will open giving you the option to copy or paste.

Thanks - next question. I use my mac to reduce the size of the image and convert to jpeg to enable quicker uploads. Can that be done on the droid? I've reduced the pixel size in settings to the smallest. Still a big file.

I'm not sure about that one. I can say that when I transfer pics from my Droid to Photobucket, the transfer rate is really fast.

I'm not sure that you would need to change the size in order to transfer faster.

I'm also not familiar with Picasa so, it may be slower or faster than Photobucket.

There may be more people here with a better answer on that one.  happy1

Droid test

This picture isn't working because you've copied the "secure" link that's specific to you (note the "s" in "https." You want the generic link that everyone can see.

The only direction I get on the phone is copy link, haven't figured out how to get to the correct one.

Downloaded a pic app that let's me shrink the photo size. Still haven't been able to link from Picasa.

It was really nice when tapatalk worked. There was a unload from gallery feature that would shrink and upload the image. Now it says admin has disabled that feature even though Hondo does not even have an option to do that.

I can shrink and upload pics, but I'd still rather link to Picasa and I haven't figured that one yet.
