I have a 1984 CB700s. I am looking to replace the gasket that goes in the left crankcase along with the pulse amplifier. Everyplace I look has it listed in the parts fiche but it is not available to buy. I have looked at old bike barn, bike bandit, babbits, etc etc...... any help would be appreciated. thanks

It's not made anymore and good luck finding one. In 1985 honda did away with that seal and instead drilled a hole from the left crank case cavity back into the crank case . You having an 84 are left with 3 options :

1. tear the engine down and take the old seal to a seal/bearing shop and see if they can find you something similar that will work.

2. tear the engine down and drill a hole from the bottom of that left side cavity into the crank case so that any oil that makes it into that cavity drains back into the case

3. use a good sealant and seal the cover up , everything under the cover will be fine but it keeps it from leaking

Yup, I too have looked all over for it and could not find it anywhere. I have a few used one's from parts engines, but no idea if they'd leak or not??

Thank you for the replies... I guess i will try to seal it using black silicone. It leaks for about 10-15 mins after a ride. I'm guessing the oil is too thick to get through until it gets warm. Dose anybody have a pic of the the hole that needs to be there?... It is a 84.

Try steels cycles.   They have a gasket cutter and supposedly can cut any gasket they have specs on.  never used them but need to for my 360 someday.

you could always just make a gasket, can be messy but i've made plenty for oil pans on cars.
