I love good ice cream and when on Vacation a few weeks ago I woke and figured a nice ride over the Mountain was in order. Wednesday and no traffic I loaded up the back pack with fresh smoked salmon for a few drop offs and was on my way East.  The day was about 260 miles, stopped at the ski area, Stevens Pass to pull off the sweat s??? as it was hot up top and and was going to be close to 100* at my ice cream stop.

Met a dude taking a brake on his Hog, he came over from Seattle for lunch..  The ride was Great, high way pegs are a Great Thing.  There was a fire about a month back that came down to the high way. Work was on to clear the cliffs area of debris, tree's, rocks etc.  I'm sure this winter the hill will come down some place there.  Any who I was headed to Levens Worth. A little town that was turned into a copy of a ( Bavarian Town ).  http://www.leavenworth.org/modules/pages/index.php?pageid=1

When I pulled in it was smoking hot, I don't do good in heat and was geared up. Looking around I found a spot to park in shade and ice cream across the street. This town was full of tourist....

I didn't spend any more time then needed to ice cream up, then head back. The ride was one of the coolest ones I've done. I pulled off to see Fish Lake, never seen it and I see I must go back some day. http://www.coveresortatfishlake.com/

Back on the West side so it's called it was mid 70's and I stopped at our camp for a look see and a cold one.  beer

Vacation was great, fished alot as well...  I love Washington State...

Before camp I stopped to see the Caboose, more history here and hiking to be had, some day.

Looks like it was a big sky day for you. Nearly all of my rides are 2-dimensional. It's always nice to see some elevation. Thanks for taking us along

As much as I want a new ride, that 750 fits me and is a dang nice ride with what I've done to her.   Probably keep her another season  biker_h4h1

Looks like a beautiful ride! If SOQS agrees, I might have to make an overnight run up that way sometime.
