It doesn't look stock but it doesn't look like the lady and gunfighter either. Maybe stock someone recontoured and recovered? What is it and what do you make of the black lines on the front?

Should be a Corning label somewhere. I assume the stripes are velcro to hold a seat pad of some sort.

to me it looks like it could be a Corbin seat, it will have a corbin sticker on the bottom of the pan.

Guy said he would sell it to me for 100 shipped. I responded asking if it is a corbin and if I hear back from him I will probably get it regardless. 100 shipped for a stock seat is good, for an aftermarket, especially corbin, it is robbery.  I NEVER get a deal so we shall see.

What about the rest of the parts? Those progressive shocks would be nice.

My vote is a recovered, possibly recontoured foam stock seat.

If it's squishy, then it's not a Corbin seat.

creaky if it is a reworked stock it is definitely recontoured because stock isn't near that high in back.

I agree although if we can see a picture of that seat's underside then we'll know for sure.

This is simple. If it's squishy its a reworked stock or some other aftermarket seat. If it's seriously dense, hard foam, it's a Corbin.

Recontoured seats usually don't have stitching at the creases. And based on that, I'd vote that its a Corbin.

The front of the stock seat does not go up on the tank as much as a corbin. I bet thats a recovered corbin. Ive noticed the leather they use seems to tear at the same fairly often.

If I squint and look away, it looks like a Corbin.   thumb

ari i think i did alright too. got a hondaline sissy bar for 100 too.

Found new progressive springs for 55 shipped too so the front end will be my winter nighthawk project. it came with heavy duty shocks and rifle fairing already.

Only thing left performance wise to get I want is a superbrace.

damn i hate it when impulse fever gets me, found a superbrace for 110 shipped.

That is all the feeding the nighthawk gets, doesn't need anything else. I have rifle fairing, stainless brake lines, progressive springs, superbrace, dynojet kit, progressive shocks, sissy bar, corbin seat, flashing headlight, flashing tail light, loud horn.

pdorman, Progressive 412 series shocks are exactly the same size as stock one (13"). If you want to try lower your seat, check 'Suspension' section in this forum. I believe LOKi tried Honda VTX1300 stock rear shocks (12") when his NH750 shocks got shot.
