After all these years it finally took a new bike for me to get a riding jacket.  Picked up a gently used red Tour Master Intake today for $50.  Found on craigslist.  Fellow bought a new bike in yellow and, well, you know the rest.  Very similar to the Cortech Air and Sport Series 2 I tried on at Cycle Gear a month or so back but didn't purchase.  Of course went out riding this afternoon and the jacket was great but so were the low 70's and sun!  Drove back to the local Cycle Gear and purchased a pair of Sedici Monza gloves in black.  So the upper body is relatively well protected now...................

You're right, I should know by now, pictures of everything.  Here they are, and not out of a catalog either!

Holy crap, those are some heavy-duty gloves! Reminds me of Mad Max or Duke Nukem or Halo or something. Nice jacket, too - one nice thing about used gear is that the safety aspect doesn't diminish just because someone else wore it while riding (as long as they didn't crash in it).

Keep that guy's number, he might buy another different-colored bike someday.

That's very similar to (if not the same) jacket I just got on CL for $40. Mine might be the Air Intake 2 -- I'm at work now and can't check. The only flaw with mine was a small melted patch in the mesh about the size of a quarter on one elbow -- the PO hung it on the bike and the jacket sleeve fell against the exhaust.

I just call that broke-in.

Unfortunately, unable to try mine out, as the bike's been down for the last month. I'm hoping to give it a go soon before I have to hang up the mesh gear for the season.

How much were the gloves?

They were on clearance at $29.97 + tax.  I spent almost 2 hours trying on every pair that remotely interested me.  Finally had the clerk remove the anti theft thingiee from the gloves so I could try them on together with the jacket.  And of course the size I tries didn't velcro around the coat!  These gloves were about the most flexible I found.  Clerk tells me they will break in quickly, I said maybe for someone who rides daily but it might take me years to break the gloves in properly.  As for the jacket, the photo above was the craigslist photo.  No burns, tears, nothing.  Just gently broken in.  I tried on an Air Series 2 and Cycle Gear and could really feel the difference between new and broken in.

Mine is the same jacket:

And here's the damage to mine:

You'll have to tell me how it is after you've worn it a while. Even with the liner in, I'm not sure mine's going to be warm enough for me when I finally get my bike back on the road. Morning temps were in the 40s the last few days.
