1983 Nighthawk 550, Oil Type (Recommandations)

Hi Guys!

I bought a 1983 Honda Nighthawk 550 and am wondering about some info for an oil change on it.  I have searched on this forum (love that there is a dedicated community), but have not found anything.

What oil should I be putting into it?  I have looked on the bike's frame for info regarding this, however have not found anything.  I have read that 10W40 is what is recommended, but have also seen other oils used.

What should I be using?  My bike has 60,000 KMs on it.  Any information is much appreciated!

Bottom line, use an oil that has the JASO-MA designation on it.
FWIW, I use Rotella T 15w-40. I get the gallon jug at Walmart for dirt cheap.
