Hey guys,
My headlights come on when I first turn the bike on for like a second then it goes out. Any idea on what causes this?
Thanks a bunch.

I would guess it's a loose connection behind the light.  Probably the bulb/wire harness connection.

That or a fuse getting ready to fail.

I would guess that the filament on the headlight bulb is about to fail.
Try switching to the other "beam" (Hi or Lo) when this happens.

When you replace the bulb, get a higher output like the Sylvania XtraVision bulb.

Couple ideas:

Get a circuit tester and check the voltage at the headlight circuit. If it reads 12V, then your bulb needs replacing. If it is not 12V, check the fuse/relay.

Get some spare wire and connect the headlight circuit directly to the battery. If the light stays on for more than 5 seconds, then you need to check the fuse and/or starter relay.
