got my bike from a buddy, was at his house in 2001 when he bought it for a hundred bucks. we put fresh gas in it and jumped it off, by the end of the night it ran great. in 08 he needed space cause he bought a cbr900 so he was relieved that i told him i'd i'd buy it, but aprehensive cause i'd never owned a bike. well it sat a few years cause life happens but i've got it running on the road now just gassed it up and put a fresh battery, buisness as usual i guess. i gave him 600 fer it he rebuilt the carbs, new tires, new chain, rebuilt the fork bearings and stripped off the old pinstripe and rattlecanned it black. since its running i've rebuilt the front brake, had the tank proffessionally sprayed ( the rest will follow), and cleaned and polished everything. the bike has 16k miles on it now and the motor runs strong. we r both proffessional mechanics and i understand what this bike means to him and now me and it will probably outlive us both but will always be around. while he had it he got a parts bike that now travels in a box to keep those obsolete parts from being just that. i'm glad to be here and am looking foreward to getting whatever assistance i will be needing.

welcome Nice looking bike! The 450 is a great bike to get into riding with. Enjoy it! Btw, have you taken the MSF course and purchased gear yet? You'll find most people here are big proponents of both.
