Vests that protect chest, ribs, spine etc

I'm seriously thinking about either the Icon vest or the SixSixOne coresaver. Both around $100. The Coresaver is geared more towards racing but looks like it offers more coverage. The Icon Vest is geared towards the urban use but looks to not have as much coverage as the former.

I'm also thinking if I should go with the knee protectors, no idea what options are out there but the KNOXX ones were expensive at around $65.

Your thoughts?

I think you should also think about where you live too , it's gotta be Hot in Cali and so i think as for the Vest you should look at something  more breathable ..Knox has some good stuff http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=4144  but check out the entire line  and close out sales (you could score big , if i had looked at the closeouts first i would have saved $200 on my leather Jacket  )


Now $65 bucks seams like a lot for a pair of knee protectors but they do save you pain , i know i've learned my lesson after cracking my knee cap on landing once and it took 6 months to recover from that so now i'd pay triple that amount just for a piece of mind.
