Definitely a seminal model. I'm no scholar of motorcycle history, but I daresay the '69 CB750 was the greatest single advancement in two wheel motoring in the last century. Nothing specifically revolutionary technologically, but so much fused together and perfected in one mass-produced bike for the first time.

What changed in '84? You mean the legislation that became the 700s Nighthawk? That was an amazing machine, I had one and so many of you have one....that is a real testament to what a good machine means to a rider who values speed, competency and reliability!
Long live the UJM!

Heehee, nope, I already got one and didn't like it (but I totally respected it) and sold it....this was a several years ago.
What an amazingly developed machine that was....but something about it just didn't please me the way my '92 does, as soon as I brought home my 700s I saw the beloved CB750 in the garage and just couldn't wait to be back on it instead.

I <3 My 700s. Its sporty yet classy, and does not lack in the throttle. And when it kicks at 7k it squeels
