I'm posting this up a week late but better late than never. Last Sunday I had the morning all to myself, no hockey games to run the kids to and the weather was beautiful. Started my ride about 8:00 with no destination in mind. I started riding out towards bucks county PA and when ever I saw a road I wanted to explore I just made the turn and never looked back.

I headed down a gravel road I have never been on and it dead ended into the river.

What a beautiful view and the fall colors are starting to pop a little.

The sky was so clear you could see the moon.

Gravel roads were popping up all over the place.

Back on the black top and a few miles down the road I discovered this beautiful water fall.

A litter deeper into the country side I rode up on this single lane bridge over a nice little creek.

Another desolate gravel road led to a dead end at someones property.

About a half hour later I was enjoying the winding roads and got to a point where I wouldn't say I was lost but lets just say I wasn't sure exactly where I was. I found this old gas station kind of in the middle of nowhere. It was worth a few pics.

I continued to ride and starting seeing some roads that looked familiar and ended up in Hellertown PA. There is a place called the lost river caverns there so I had to stop in. They have some really cool stuff there and run tours through the caves but the next one was not for an hour and I did not feel like hanging around so I took a couple pics and continued on. www.lostcave.com

A little more of the fall colors starting.

I like the way the light was shining through the bike on this pic.

Mountains in the distance.

I stopped for a water and a snack and these guys wee flying overhead.

On the way home I stopped by the lake to give my butt a rest and took a couple pics. You guys may have seen a similar picture here with my 650 nighthawk, I stop by here sometimes if I'm in the area, it is very relaxing.

It was a beautiful day with lots of great roads on and off road, I will do this ride again. I logged almost 200 miles in about 6 hours of back country road riding.

Great adventure HH.  Have I asked you before, what is the range on that bike?  Ever get worried out in the middle of nowhere and finding gas?

I haven't road it enough to figure out the range. I never had to switch to reserve yet but never went over 110 miles before topping off. One of the things I want to do is get the 4.9 gallon tank, it is about $300 and will have to wait a little while.

Sweet ride, I love old buildings and stuff like that...  I always ask, how old is this place  scratcher         That pipe looks good, bet it sounds sweet....  OK, now if we get a break in the weather I have to roll my DRZ out for a T/R.  Thanks Hockeyhawk.

Nice adventure.  As we all know, one can't get lost on a motorcycle.

I'm really envious of the NE riders being able to enjoy the Fall Foilage.  Those colors against the big sky is really picturesque.

Seems you had a good time, HH. I think I saw that waterfall before. Isn't that one near Perkasie? maybe along or near 611 junction?

Snack was only a granola bar and bottle of water. Not a very interesting picture.

That is correct. It is near Nockamixon, i've been there plenty of times before but never on the road the damn is on. And by the way I stand corrected, it's not a water fall it's a damn.
