Just picked this up last night from a guy on craigslist.

1982 Nighthawk 750

44k on bike, has used engine installed last fall with 17k on it.  Its been painted, tank paint is flaking in spots, shows yellow underneath. Side panels were originally blue?

Rides nice, had fork seals and new tires last season, new battery this season.  Also has a 4 into 1 muffler

Couple things Ive noticed on the first day of riding:

Dash lights inop
Rear brake petal brake light indicator inop
has a slight timing chain noise?
fuel gauge only reads 1/2 tank when completely full

Now onto pics

came with free tools in the cubby by the battery

Welcome to the Forum from the Heart of Dixie
I was in Bath in 1977 with the NAVY Nice looking 750

I don't know your model exactly but most old Hondas are about the same.
There should be a little spring on your rear brake lever that goes up to the  brake light switch.   its only about 2 to three inches long.

There are probably 2 dash lights in each gage.  Check the bulbs first.  Its an old bike.

went on my first "real" ride today, put about 80 miles round trip on her, probably the only trip for the season

I had found my old GPS from the car, and made a power wire and mount using spare parts from work (freebie).  Seemed to work good, with the volume at max I can still hear it over the engine (when its under 4k rpms)

Looks like you removed the wind screen.  Looks like a nice day to ride.  It was in the mid 70s to day in Alabama.
