My dads 84 Nighthawk 650's turn signals work, but don't flash at all. If you flip the turn signal switch to the right the right front light will turn off but wont flash. The back turn signals wont flash at all.

Any idea where to start? Could it be a fuse issue or connection at the lights?

Any help would be great

The front right bulb is burned out.  It has two filaments, the turn signal filament is burned out the running light filament is not.

So would changing the bulbs fix the flashing issue? I think the left side does the same thing. If you try flipping the left turn signal on the light will go from the running light and turn off instead of flashing.

Maybe the same thing for the back?

Thanks for your help

Try changing the bulbs firts. Failing that, it could be a faulty flasher relay. Both are cheap and easy fixes.

If the bulbs are bad the stock flasher will not flash correctly.  If you change to LED bulbs the stock flasher will not flash correctly.
