I've added some stuff since these pics were taken. (these are pics from the previous owner) I plan on taking some nice updated pics this weekend of my new 2000 750 nighthawk and of my ZRX.

Very nice...did the PO have another ZRX? It looks like there's one sitting in front of yours, of course that's just based on the tail, but that's what it looks like.

Yes, that is another ZRX. So, he is not totally ZRX-less now. ;)

I still can't believe how similar the ZRX is to the CB700SC (Nighthawk S) from 84-86.

I got the bike from Harry Wood (seriously, his real name) on the ZRX forum. My first ZRX was a 2000 ZRX1100 (green) that I purchased new in the spring of 2000. I rode that bike until I got bit by the cruiser bug in the fall of 2003. Sold the ZRX and purchased a new '03 Vulcan 1600 Classic. In the spring of 2008 I found that I simply could not be without a ZRX any longer and bought the blue one off of Woody (had it shipped from FL). Absolutely love it. I'm "iMav" on the ZRX forum as well. I have never been that active on the web forum...but I was VERY active on the mailing list back in the day. See my ZRX member number in my sig.

I should read everything. Im #8346 I like the blue my good friend has a 03 blue that is tricked out! That he bought from Harry to but Harry Smith here in Alabama. I like the blue but would never tell him His rex is down tring to get shocks rebuilt and he is going to pick up my nighthawk today to ride till shocks rebuilt. Another friend had loaned him his wifes ninja 250 I think he is missing those other 950 cc, so he is stepping up to the 700. He is pretty good with carbs so Im letting him have my nighthawk on idea that he tunes it! Come on down to the ZRX Y-trap party in N. Ga. in May.

Come on down to the ZRX Y-trap party in N. Ga. in May. I would like to. I've never been to a ZRX rally of any kind (but have attended a few Vulcan ones). I'll be there someday...perhaps this year. We'll see. ;)

Hi iMav. I really like your 2003 ZXR. It was the only year Kawasaki made the ZXR with silver wheels. I never liked the black wheels. Our local Kawasaki dealer had only one blue ZXR for the 2003 model year. I screwed around trying to makeup my mind to buy it when it disappeared. They are hard to find used...Some day I will find one as nice as yours...

So how does the 1200 compare to the 700 s. Their styling is so similar, do both of these bikes have the same feel as one another? Looks like Kawi did a smart thing and took a really good idea honda had, and upgraded it like honda should have. I see so many Nighthawk S's around its not even funny. I might someday want to upgrade to a 1200 myself, but for now the 700s is more than enough bike for me.

aside from our trip to the beach, I've only seen another nighthawk on the road twice... one was a NH 250, and the other a 750.
I like the Kawi A LOT. I heard they have engine trouble, though??? Is there any truth behind that?

No sir NO engine trouble when you keep it upright, some engine self destroy when dropped and run on the side for a while. One of the guy on the ZRx forum sells a kill switch wich shuts the engine down if you lay the bike over.

They relly dont compare! Water cooled, chain driven, and handles! Dont forget 1200cc and easy to get mod parts! I like my NH but its a cruiser! The ZRX is a hotrod with lots of options.

I wouldnt go as far as to say the 700s is a cruiser, but the Kawi definatly looks more sporty.
