I've enjoyed the forum and I've learned a lot.  I'm sure I'll have some questions in the future but for now just wanted to say hi and introduce our bike.

To make a long story short -- my wife bought this bike new, rode it a few years, then put it into storage.  Then she married me.

The bike didn't need much - clean the carbs, new tires, and battery, bleed the fluids, and some TLC (not unlike our marriage now that I think about it).  Amost 10,000 miles on it now and it runs great.

We're looking for something bigger but we'll keep the Nighthawk for short trips.

I'm a noobie myself and here I am welcoming someone already!   smiler

I really like the back rack thing you've got there.  Would be nice for trips where you've gotta' bring a little gear along.

Yep - we actually got it this weekend.  I had the following instructions from the "boss" - It had to be a Honda, it had to be black.  So I found this 2007 VT1100 with pretty low miles.  It will take a little getting used to be so far we love it!!!
