I know a lot of the "Nighthawkista" aren't too keen on cruisers, but this baby is hella comfortable, and torquey as hell! Awesome brakes and fuel injection, too. The day I brought it home, brandy new: The following year with drag pipes (with baffles) and touring seat: Don't flame me too bad. The NH is for the backroads, the Hammer is more for distance.

Have you ridden it very far? I'd imagine it would be a bit harder on your tailbone and spine since your legs can't absorb any of the road vibrations.
It's a beautiful bike. I've always been a fan of the Victorys

The cut of the seat is the key, I think. My weight is more on my buttcheeks and thighs than my tailbone. I've gone from Hyde Park, NY to Harrisburgh, PA with no discomfort (about 3 hrs).
I had an 86 Shadow 700 that KILLED my tailbone, even with a fancy gel seat cover. Had to get off that thing every 100 miles (or less). Made the ride to Laconia,NH very uncomfortable.
The color is called "Nuclear Sunset". My crappy photography skills don't do it justice.

Yeah, I had a VT500 that I couldn't ride for more then an hour before the pain got to be about too much. It was a soft seat too.

I love that color. It's more orange than the similar suzi Gixxer and Busa color. No flame from me - if you like it, more power to ya. I'll ride with anyone as long as they are safe. Several of my close friends are cruiser riders. Just stay behind me with those pipes.

Just stay behind me with those pipes. LOL! I took the baffles out for about a week just to see what the wide-open bark sounded like. It was still pretty smooth....Much less abrasive than a Sporty with Screamin' Eagles. It's not obnoxious with the baffles in, and the fuel map plays nicer with it. Actually, if you take the lead, the headlight may bug you a bit.

I really LOVE the styling of the Victory motorcycles. A coworker has the Victory tourer (not sure what model it is). They are beautiful machines. Congratulations!

Nice bike. I like that Victory has been able to compete with HD and stay in business for more than a few years.

Well, it's no Nighthawk, that's for sure. It's better suited for the highway. It's not awful in the twisty stuff, but you definately feel the weight of it (which also makes it solid in a crosswind). Mrs. Hawk650 finds it more comfortable, too, so there is that...
