Thanks for the positive comments, guys! Light bulb white! Ha. I thought I saw a 250 that looked white, but I believe I thought it was silver. There you have it. Not a one-off scheme, but still looks slick and fresh for the old beast.
Your right, metalic silver was the 2006 NH. I cannot find a white factory NH. I dont know where the hell I got "Light bulb white" from.

Hey guys it's been a little while since I've logged on. Bunch of family matters and such as usual, keeping my attention. I had a little run in with the bike. It was this past Sunday at around 5:00 pm, I was travelling down a main street in Lafayette, LA, having a little cruise to cap the weekend off. I was totally alert and well not expecting anything to ruin the day. I was travelling at about 40 mph when a Ford Escape in the left lane, runs over a metal fence post concrete setting and sends it my direction. I had approximately one second to react and chose the only path (as terrible as it was) and that was to roll over it. Well I hit the concrete boulder as dead on as anyone would want to hit something of that sorts. Up came the front wheel and as I proceded the exhaust system took a severe blow totally crushed all four pipes before the collector. This only launched the bike further skyward, so much that the rear tire barely caught any of the action. What seemed like 10 secs was probably 2 secs as came down totally compressing the front forks. Thankfully I had my wits about me, enough to pull clutch in and kill the engine after hearing an awkward exhaust note. I remained calm, so calm in fact, I didn't even have the shakes afterwards. I did all the right things to maintain control even in such a rediculous situation. No one came by to see how I was after. Oh well, at least they had a show to watch before returning home I suppose. Glad I could entertain you, you cagers! I got off the bike, backtracked to pick up the concrete before anyone else had a run in and loaded it in booksack. Walked the bike about 2.5 miles with a 45 lb block on my back with full gear on, to my shop. Luckily the shop was open and I stored it. Immediately contacted my insurance provider, had an adjuster cut me a check and fixed her up.

Thank goodness you came through it OK. I wish I could say "I can't believe no one stopped to check on you" but it doesn't surprise me at all. On a bike, we are mostly invisible. I am impressed that you maintained control, especially seeing that rim! And you stayed calm? You must have nerves of steel my friend.
Glad you were able to fix it so quickly.

Good to read that you are OK. In light of the fact that you weren't hurt, I'd say the bike looks much better with that shiny new header and painted rim!
