Hello everyone, I found this forum a bit late to get a whole lot out of it on my restoration but I'm hoping it may be able to help me find a new home for my Nighthawk.  In 2007 I purchased an 84' Nighthawk from the local high school.  The bike was not running upon acquisition and was in tough shape cosmetically.  I decided that I wanted to fix this old machine up and make it really nice so I first got it running and assessed the condition of the engine.  With a good cleaning of the carbs the engine purred to life and ran great.  Unfortunately upon the first test ride I noticed that the bike would not stay in second gear which I later found out is a common problem with them.  Not discouraged, I stripped the bike down and acquired another Nighthawk which I used for parts and repaired the damaged gearbox.  The frame was powder coated along with a few other bits and all the other parts were repainted.  I found the original Nighthawk paint scheme a bit dull so I repainted it with a bit more flare using metallic blues instead of the original decals.  The exhaust has been modified into a 4 into 1 system and has a Supertrapp muffler.  A dynojet jet kit has also been installed.  Since 2007 I've used the bike on a regular basis throughout the summers and have put around 11,000 miles on it.  It currently has 32000 miles.  The bike has never broken down on me and has always ran well.  I've found a love for road racing and am currently building a race bike from the frame up and don't intend to ride as much on the street anymore.  As much as I don't want to see it go, having it sitting around while I'm away at school and out racing isn't doing it any justice.  Thanks for looking.

The new Honda lettering seems to angle down toward the front.  Does it level out with the rider in place?

I've never seen a Supertrapp like that.

Yeah, I think it does to some extent.  Would have looked weird painting it at an angle to make it level.
