Plastex will fix literally anything made of abs plastic, plastex is just powdered plastic, you drip on some of the included chemical and it hardens into new plastic. I've replaced broken off tabs with it (not just glued back on but actually molded and created new tabs) , filled holes, put a whole crashed sport bike fairing back together with it, I'm certain it can fix the crack and busted tab. they sell it in a few colors too, I've been using the clear version.

Thanks for that. I looked into it a bit and I am trying to find it for a good deal. It seems like the package I need is about 30 bucks, but it comes with clear, gray and black. On another note, about what gauge copper wire do I need to clean the passages of the carb jets?

When I bought mine they were having a sale, I got a large clear only kit for something like $15, 3 years later I still have a third of the kit left, plastex goes a long long long long way so don't feel you need to buy the pro kit or anything. You're probably going to want to paint over your repairs anyway so it doesn't really matter what color you get. For jet cleaning I use a welding tip cleaner, they usually have them at home depot but any welding store will have them. Just don't go crazy with em or you'll make the jet hole bigger which will richen your mixture. Or if you have a guitar an E string works awesome. welding tip cleaner http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-100341101/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

Alright, I ll keep my eye out and hope to catch the plastex on sale. Will those torch tip cleaners be soft enough not to damage the jets? Thanks for letting me know about the armor all, that is exactly what I was going to use.

Well they're abrasive, so if you sat there sawing at the jets with one eventually you would wear it into an oval....so don't do that. Generally all you're using them for is poking crud out of the jet, not trying to polish the inside of the jet hole. As for the plastex I just used the standard clear kit, it's only $30 and will last you for years, if money is really tight I'm sure the smaller kit that's half the price will last you quite a while too. Like I said, this stuff goes a long long way. I usually will take a razor blade and on the side of the crack you won't see I cut the crack wider but only on the back side to create a small valley. Then pour in the powder and drip on the solution and wait 30 minutes, it becomes new abs plastic as strong as it was new. You can use any color you want, I fixed tons of white abs with the clear, you're gonna paint over it anyway if it's plainly visible. I use this kit... http://plastex.net/shopping/pgm-more_information.php?id=6&=SIDOh, and despite their directions I don't use the little applicator needle thing, it just complicated things. I just drip the solution onto the powder straight from the bottle via the eye dropper included in the kit and it comes out great every single time.

Bit of good news, pulled the bike out to run some stabil through the gas, had it idling for about 20 mins and when i put the choke in it almost stalled, gave it a little throttle and after a few minutes it was running with out the choke. I will probably still go through the carb in a little bit just to be sure its cleaned out.
