(I will build up this first post with more and more information.... please be patient ;) )

Under construction  lurker

Aren't we forgetting something?

On this forum everyone is comparing the CB700SC vs CB750 (CA) vs CB750 Nighthawk vs CBX750 Horizon (Japan)....
But how about the CB750 EU spec? It's build simultaneously with the CB750 Nighthawk...

I believe the CB750 (F2) is the European equivalent of the CB750 Nighthawk.

I think we need to look at the USA version like the CBX750 (big front wheel)
And we need to look at the EU version like the CB700sc and 750

So let's look at this pic I made and compare:

Every time I see that Euro 750, I just wish they had brought it here.  DirtDOG

Well... the CB700SC and 750 where America + Canada only.... (and the CBX750 japan)
We got the CBX750F

If I search the net, I can find about 3 to 5 US versions for sale in this country...

Interesting...never heard of the Horizon. Is there any significant difference between that and the 750S (Canada)?

The CBX750 Horizon is a Japan only motorcycle and has a 18'' front wheel.

According to my CB750SC Workshop Manual, the 750sc produces the same amount of power and torque as the 700sc....

Can someone else verify this?

Here you will find the differences in the motorcycle family.

The only thing I miss are the gear ratios of the CDN 750 NH

http://www.imagenetz.de/f98bd1289/cbx.xls

its a exel file
ok it's in German, but the data are self-explanatory

best regards Ralf

I was working on an Excell sheet myself just like you, CBXRalf!

I did notice some incorrect numbers in you sheet:
According to my cb700sc 1984 workshop manual
- The Zähnezahl for the 5th gear should be 26/30 instead of 25/30.
- And the Zähnezahl from the Endübersetzung should be: 19/16 x 34/10

CB750SC 1984 workshop manual:
- Primärübersetzung: 1,780 (73/41)
- Endübersetzung: 3,670
- All gear ratios are the same as the cb700sc!

- Zündzeitpunkt and volle Frühzündung are also the same as the cb700sc.

- The carb's on the CB750SC are 31mm (not 34) VE 65A, cali: VE77A

- Maximalleistung: 80ps/10.000rpm
- Maximalmoment: 62,5Nm/8.000rpm

English, yeey!

Lol, I understand German pretty well. I search the German eBay a lot for parts for classic Puch mopeds.
And I read a lot on forums as well.
Plus, I'm Dutch, so we learn many languages at school.

I have some info on the Japanese CBX750.
I'll add that info later on.

Merry Christmas everyone!
