First, open up an account with one of many online photo sharing sites (photobucket, flickr, smugmug, etc). You can upload your pics to those sites and link them here.

To host an image on the site, click on "Preview Post", then "Additional Options", which will be below the text box. In that list you should see the option to attach a file.

Well, it says right there in fine print...Allowed file types: txt, doc, pdf, jpg, gif, mpg, png, bmp, gpx, wav, gdb, kml, kmz
Maximum attachment size allowed: 400 KB, per post: 5

You need to either figure out what criterion is not conforming and change it (open in MS Paint or whatever and save as a different type, or resize), or just host the image on an imageshack/photobucket type site.

Test post with 400kb picture upload...

Note: picture type is "jpg", be sure your filename extension is one of the noted above, and be sure the size is less than 512k.


This picture is "hotlinked" from smugmug, notice the difference in quality to the second picture below, both were used with the same cheap camera.
