difference between 82 and 83

I have a 82 450 NH and a 83 NH.I know the colors, speedo, and wheels are different. The 82 just turned 3000 miles, all stock. The 83 is all stock with 26,000 but needs a tank. Now while wiping them down i noticed the 83 turn signal cover are tapered where as the 82 are flat. Ive had the 83 since 88. 82 a few months. Were these items factory different or have one been changed?

You could find out by going to a dealers parts look up and compare part numbers. Heres an example.

Got it. Thanks for the link. My 82 is right. My 83 is wrong. Both bikes are sc models, but some how i got 83 T- model on it instead of sc. Welp, on the prowl for 83 sc lense and will have a pair of T style available for sale. Thanks agian.
