RIDE!

Here's a pic of my 01 750 nighthawk, that I was paid beer to take (from my friend) Too make a long story short. He got wiped off of it by a deer (not hurt) He had me go pick it up from off the side of the road and take back to my house. Couple weeks later he shows up with 30 of my favorite brew, looks over the bike, looks at me and asks; "you want it?" and hands me the title!! He said I got two more just like it, without all the mileage (93,000) It set in my basement for a year before I decided to do something with it. It's still in the rideable transformation stage. I made my own front fender, fixed the tank, fabricated a different muffler to fit (off a 87 750 ninja) made my own head light bracket. This pic still shows the factory round head light, It now has a square one and is painted in full camo! My friend bought it used in 02 with 1200 miles, It has never had any major work done to it other than general maintance.. its on it's 16th set of rubbers and has 95,248 miles on it now. I'm lookin to clear the BIG 100,000 mile mark this year!

Welcome to the group, ride safe.
You should get way more than 100K out of that bike, if you take care of it.
Stay away from the forest rats. Leave the brew at home for after the ride. Hope you enjoy your bike.

Thanks for the warm welcome!! I've bin riding/racing motorcylcles ever since I can remember. Yes The Beer is great AFTER a ride. I'm sure it won't have any trouble rollin thru 100,000 mile mark. I just cut and welded a new elbow and modified the hanger location. It came with the V&H megaphone-style muffler, witch got scuffed-up pretty good. I asked my friend yesterday; If he ever rejetted the carbs? He said no he never did. So, I'll be doing that this week, since it's gonna be in the 20s.
