Just got it home after picking it up in Saranac Lake, NY. It was -10 degrees when we picked it up! Got it and a new textile riding jacket for $780. This bike will be for our 21 year old and 18 year old to ride after going to MSF courses this spring. It seems to be in good condition. It's not starting well but none of our other bikes start well in sub-zero temps. We'd like to get the short grab rail for the back. If anyone is interested in the tall one that's on it with the pad let me know!

Welcome, from another owner of the One-Year Wonder.
I don't start very well at -10, either.

to the forum. Pretty cool to get the kids a nighthawk to ride. Are you looking to adopt? Best of luck with the new bike.

Thanks for the welcomes! We are definitely a riding family. Hubby is one of 6 children- 4 of whom ride. We all have older kids (late teens to mid 20's) that are in various stages of learning to ride/licensed/somewhat experienced riders. Family rides usually consist of at least 7-8 bikes at a time. Our two children are some of the youngest in the family so we were looking for a good starter bike for them.
Hubby used to own a V45 Sabre (1982) and his brother still has his and rides it regularly. We decided on looking for a Nighthawk because we know the Honda's of that era fairly well.
Our nephew in Seattle just purchased a 1992 NH 750 and he's loving it.

That is pretty cool. It is hard enough to get 7 or 8 friends together to ride let alone 7 or 8 family members. Good for you guys.
