To bring back some of the old topics from CBRider, and this can be constantly updated as members join. Anyway, I ride with a HJC SyMax Full Face Modular. How about you?

I wear an HJC FS-10 that my loving wife was so kind as to get me for Christmas this year. Great helmet and I love the fighter pilot-esque flip down internal tinted visor.

Crash tested an AGV Demon Drop a few years back and due to the confidence level, I bought another AGV to replace it. Noise level was not as nice, but still a good lid none the less. AGV V-Flyer

Aging Schuberth Concept modular, discontinued I think. I refuse to wiggle eyeglasses through the porthole of a full-face (or set them on the seat while donning the helmet) on a daily basis. Also, this helmet has the neato flip-down sun visor, resists fogging, and has a proper pushbutton buckle (D-rings are passe, IMHO). Most importantly, it fits my head.

I wear glasses which is a PIA with regular full face helmets. I have several HJC full faces but end up wearing this HJC CL33 a lot. I can flip the shield up and talk, get a drink of water whatever and with the shield down almost as much wind protection as with a full face, plus I don't have to take my glasses off to put the helmet on or take it off.

I agree, that's why I got Lasik a couple of years ago. Never looked back, although, if I did, I'd be able to see perfectly.

Well, MrF, if you weren't so far south, I'd say you could come over and take a look at mine to see if you dig on it. Unfortunately, I'm thinking an 8 hour drive is a bit much just to check out a helmet.

Geez, TX is huge. And I'm in the middle of nowhere too. . .it's 45 miles to the nearest bike shop. Thanks for the offer though!

Full face helmets from day one. IMNSHO, anything less is completely inadequate protection during a face plant. Q.E.D. My old KBC TK200S died honorably in the line of duty allowing me to get up with nothing more than a whopping headache after the planet slammed into me and sliding nose down on the proverbial 4 grit belt sander. New helmet is a screaming yellow Shoei RF1000. ATGATT

Seems like HJCs are popular. I have an AC-12 from newenough.com that was a bargain. After reading more reviews, I hear, (cough cough) that they are kinda loud. I would love to test drive about 6 different high dollar helmets back to back. For dirt or just scooting down to the store I have an HJC CL-X4 motocross helmet. It should work pretty well behind a big windscreen too.

I started with a 3/4, but hated it, the visor would flip up and try to rip my head off over 45 mph! I got a full-face, but being a four-eyed geek, I had to constantly remove my glasses because of it... I recently got an AFX FX-28 full-face modular helmet, very nice, not too expensive, and picked it up from a local FLIBS. (anyone use that acronym here? FLIBS? If not, it's Friendly Local Independent Bike Shop. I haven't seen it here yet, so I thought I'd introduce it...

Ah, this is the term I've been looking for, as I hate to actually say dealership (yeah, stealership) when urging people to support local brick & mortar shops instead of clicking on thumbnails. Dealers usually are staffed by know-nothings who want to move new machines and I get why people avoid them. Anyway, I'm in the market for a new flippy and haven't run across AFX yet. I really like that it has a snow kit.

Anyway, I'm in the market for a new flippy and haven't run across AFX yet. I really like that it has a snow kit. If you're not afraid of mail-order, you can check out Dennis Kirk, they've got them for $125.99 in solid, and $130.99 in multi... I personally don't like to, since I can't try it on before I buy it. Won't buy most clothing / shoes / boots that way. Actually, my FLIBS had to order the AFX for me, and the Med didn't fit, too small for my big head. He just ordered another one, and I was off. It all took place within a couple days, you don't get that with mail order. The standard "dual lens" kit for it is $about $38, and the electric one is $84... Could be a good choice for longer riding season, I might get me one... Electric vest, electric gloves/grips...... PS, a plug for another board, I picked up the FLIBS term from www.rebel250.com. Great bunch of folks over there! Check it out! User wheezeburnt has a nice '91 Nighthawk!

Full face, Nolan, bought it mail order and it didn't fit that good at first, then I found a fit pad under the liner that could be pulled out and darn it if that thing doesn't fit like a glove now!
