This was the stable last year ..............  Sold the 04 FZ1 to my son who's 29, sold the 03 centennial Edition Triumph Bonneville to my younger brother. Kept the 2000 750 Nighthawk for my daily rider and the 81 XS 650 just cause I like it and it's a classic plus I don't have to buy plates for it for 50 more years and bought this for long distance riding....06 ST1300  |

mbs has a grip on you too and won't let go.i had a 650 yamaha thought i could fill the void left by my norton but it reminded me of a friends triumph more than the norton

That is one fine, well-rounded stable. I hope I get to ride a XS650 one day...
Now you have a dedicated sport-tourer (and a fine one at that), a competent around-town and commuter, and a classic for bike night! What else do you need?
Oh yeah...a dual-sport (shhh, no you didn't hear that...)

coffee brake..yep definitly. I'd like to pick up an old DT1 Yammie in good condition or an XL 250 Honda. Then the stable would be just about perfect for me.  |

Nah, this is REAL WORLD riding here...traffic, dodging left-turners, looking beyond the pavement and tank-to-tank long distance! No "hound dog rooting a golf-ball" riding position bikes need apply! |

Howdee  Ferret, Got rid of your FZ1, makes me go humm  . I test rode a FZ1 a few weeks ago, handling was better than the CB750 and it was smoother and more powerful too. The stealer wanted my bike and $3600 for a '05 FZ1. I would have went to $3200 but I didn't counter and walked away. My 750 looks just like yours except I have case guards and a passenger grab bar. I personally like the looks of NH way better than the FZ1 and I think the NH is probably a little more reliable than the FZ1. Then again there is that one FZ1 out there with over a 130K miles on it. I thought about getting mbs but my bike shed is kinda small and I have 3 cages and a motorcycle already with a 1 mile commute to work. Sometimes my cage battery goes dead and I have to jump one of them off in the winter time. If I got another bike all the car batteries would go dead for sure!  |

Howdy Falcon long time no talk to My son really wanted the FZ1 so I sold it to him. I got to ride it awhile today though. We did about 150 miles of twistys in No Ky and swapped bikes for awhile. Forgot how nice that FZ1 was. Light , powerful, great brakes. I already had the CB when I bought the FZ1, but it wasn't what I REALLY wanted, I really wanted a sport tourer (though I guess with the emphasis on tourer ) so I got the ST. Really pleased with it. |
