« on: March 08, 2015, 05:10:01 PM »
Eastern North Carolina was beautiful today got to ride my new NH about 100 miles and am loving it....

55 mph @ 3,750rpm sound like stock gearing?

Also looks like I have a small oil leak on my can cover...

That does sound about right.

I'm all about "stock" on these bikes BUT I do like that color.

Good Luck with your new bike!

OK cool 3,750 to me felt a little high but still felt smooth.

My 750 was near 6k RPMs at 80 MPH. The 16 tooth counter sprocket knocked it down to 5k for a frame of reference. Was really happy with that mod, and I'm told some have had success going to a 17 tooth even.

I have that same leak on the right side of my 2002 CB 750 Nighthawk.  I bought the gasket head cover for $42.50 over the winter.  I plan on having it installed when I bring in the bike for its spring  checkup.
