My friend just bought a 1984 Nighthawk 700 yesterday in almost perfect condition. It is all original and the only thing missing from the bike are the front turn signals and whatever mounts they use. We havn't looked to see if the wiring for the front is still there but I'm trying to find the parts needed to get them mounted. Here is a fiche to the signals: Is it number 10 and 11 that mount to the forks? Then the blinkers would mount to number 10 and 11? If so, once those are mounted would we be able to use any set of blinkers or would we have to stick with the stock ones? If anyone could provide a close up picture of the mount on the bike it would be very helpful. Thanks a lot!

Here are a couple of pictures I just took of my '85 700. One is the back of the left side and the other is the front of the right side. Hope they help.

That helps a lot, thank you very much. So it does look like number 10 and 11 are the parts I need to be able to mount the signals, correct?

Yea, sorry I forgot to say that. I'm off work today so my brain is in coast mode.

So would something like this mount up to them or would we have to stay with the stock ones?

I just bought a set of these off eabay, 10$ a side. They are not listed to fit the 700s but they look close enough to me. I will know it they fit for sure in a week or so.
Thanks for posting that, I just found them on ebay. Will you post back and let me know if it works once you receive them? Thanks!

I'm sure you could use those on the back, but not in the normal location in the front.

you've got lots of options when it comes to turn signals on the s. it looks like youre off to a good start also i think you could use those signals on the front, I have signals that mount similar to those on both front and back, it just takes some ingenuity. You could do flush mounts right into the fairing, or you could drill holes in the lower part of the fairing and use washers and bolt on some signals like the ones you posted the pic of. Or you could mcgiver em on like I did., I'll post a picture within the next couple days.

Those actually look pretty nice, and at a fraction of the OEM parts. Thanks for following up with pictures

I just bought one of those stems off ebay to hook my turn signals back up. Did you have to modify anything or did it just work?

Got my new stem today. Fits the forks great but like mascar said the signals not so great. Still no modifications to get it on and it looks really good.
