With the Nighthawk in bits at least i have something else to ride. Here are my other bikes, a 96 Honda Fireblade and a 99 Aprilia RS125.

Interesting array.  Reviews always knocked the Fireblade for being over-refined; how does it compare to the Nighthawk in terms of the smooth, predictable, comfortable, boring accusations?

Handling, brakes and performance of the Fireblade are definitely better than the Nighthawk ,ten years of motorcycle evolution. As for smoothness and comfort Nighthawk wins hands down. Fireblade boring?-i don't think so, my one is now 13 years old so it's not as fast or as Sharpe as modern sport bike but for the road it's awesome, 160 mph 0-60 3.6sec. you can't say fairer than that.
