Does anyone have or had a  83 CB1100F, I love the look of them, and wondered if they were good bikes.

I have the front and rear off a '80 750f the motor from a '82 900f and thats as close to an 1100f as i can get it for now. basically they were improved 750/900f so if you rode either of those then you'll know what an 1100f is like.

Nice looking bike Steve. I like the low profile rack that was on it.

+1  bugey  I believe you could rebadge a Harley as a Honda, throw a RWB paint job on it and I'd probably like it.  Those RWB schemes are just so sexy!  thumb

I love the looks of that bike and looked for one for a while.  Couldn't find one in my price range  Also IIRC, it's a 1 or 2 year bike, so parts might be an issue.

Its a one year only thing - 1983. By many it is considered the holy grail of the 1979-1983 DOHC bikes. Those that have them love them dearly. Check out http://www.cb1100f.net/ for tons of info on all 1979-1983 sport bikes. From stock to radical these guys are all about the 750, 900, 1100 F series. Honda then abandoned their inline 4 DOHC sport bike line up and went to the V4 Interceptor line.
Check their for sale section and there are some damn near pristine bikes selling in the $2500 to $3500 range. There are always the wild cards who are looking for the $5K and up but they those aren't moving.

I too love the look of this bike. However, the price for one in nice shape would force me to modernize to a KAWASAKI ZRX these are nice. Low mile nice example costs around $3,000.00 just my 2 cents.

Sorry to   threadjacked but, I can't get enough of those ZRX's. They are such cool bikes and if I ever get the chance, I will have one.   drooler
