How many of you boys own a 70s or earlier CB? I've got a couple of those. Two 550s from 77 and 78 to be exact.

I've got a 77 CB750F and a 78 CB750K. Both are project bikes but I have collected all the part for them so they should be easy projects when time permits.

No longer, but first bike was a 1976 CB500T. I didn't know what a turd it was till after riding/owning other bikes, but nonetheless I rode her to the scrapyard where she belonged. I realize this is an exception, and most 70's UJMs (Hondas particularly) are timeless gems.

Had a 73 350 that I sold to a friend for 300 bucks...who then turned around and sold it on ebay for a thousand....
Still got a 71 350 that's in cincy....and in major need of some tlc. One of these days I'll spend a winter on it....No pics yet, I'll snap some this when I fly back...
IMO, the early 70's CB's and CL's were the most beautiful bikes ever made. (I'm a sucker for metalflake finish)

My dad has a 72 cl 450 that he has owned for 25 or so years, still runs and gets ridden a good bit every year, as it is the only bike he has

Gee... I'm not sure if you can count a '79... it's actually pretty funny how much they changed in one year.

I had a '74 CB200 that I sold a while back and a '76 CB550 patiently awaiting its cafe racer conversion.

My first bike was a 72 CB350 Twin. It was a great bike and got me to work and back many days. I later got a 72 750 but kept the 350 till I traded it in to get an 81 CB 750. Rusty

`74 CB750 Four. Bought it in `87 dressed out with hard bags and a huge fairing. Looked like a boat on two wheels. But pared down she made me happy many a mile.
The only bike I have ever regretted getting rid of. Situation in `97 didn't leave much room.

My first bike was a '71 CL175 (orange), rode it for a summer & than traded it for a '71 CB750K1, (brown with gold trim). I really enjoyed the 750, rode it across country in '72 (7k miles in three weeks). Sold it in the fall of '72 with 20k miles on the clock. Had no place to store it when I joined Uncle Sam's canoe club. Sure wish I could buy another on just like it brand new! Had another '70's suzi & kaw, good bikes as well.
