Nighthawk got a sibling!
« on: June 08, 2015, 07:44:00 AM »
Over the weekend I ran down to Springfield, MO (I live near KC) and picked up a new 2014 CTX700N with zero miles on it... Dealer down there was $1500 less than anyone in KC, so I figured it was worth the drive.

She looks just like this pic: http://blog.motorcycle.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/020813-2014-honda-ctx700n-02.jpg

Super comfy bike, though the forward pegs take some getting used to for someone who has never ridden a cruiser-style bike before, like me.

Can't wait to put some more mikes on her and my son (he's 21) looks forward to learning how to ride my Nighthawk.

A different take on the traditional cruiser. Not a fan of the exhaust, but I like just about everything else.

Enjoy it. But you need to take some pictures, or it didn't happen.  pics44

I've heard lots of people complain about the exhaust, but it doesn't bother me.  Perhaps that's because I can't see it while I'm riding!  :-)

Here's a pic of her in my driveway: http://teamtj.net/CTX700N.jpg

My first 2 fillups gave me 61.58 & 62.60 MPG.  Not too bad!  Better than my Nighthawk which averages 38 and my wife's SUV which averages 18!!

The MPG should be doable for even more without sweat on highways.  Toughest part I hear is,just getting used to the powerband.
