I'm partial to the vintage Yamaha, particularly aesthetically.
Is the 700 the most recent addition (in my mind it fills the gap)?

Yep. The Yamaha came first, followed by the Buell, then the 'Hawk as a quick-turn (which was thwarted by my falling in love with the damn thing!), another 700S which I DID turn, and then a GS550T, which I "sold" to my son (by that, I'm referring to the fact that I haven't been payed for it yet).

Where's the Duke that you were speaking so fondly of? I like the Buell and the Yammy, but I'm a sucker for Ducati's

Hate to break it to you......
It's a car.
It's also a long story as to why it's called The Duke, but it refers to The Duke himself, John Wayne.

I like the Harley-esc sound that the buells put out.  I favor that much more than the high pitched scream of a crotch rocket.

It is, in a word, an unreal ride. I don't call it "Buellosaurusrex" for no reason. I'll tell that story, some time, if you're interested. But for now, I need to get back to my Nighthawks story in the Blog section before my readers mutiny.....

I'd love to hear the story if you ever have time.  I understand though that right now, baby fish might go postal on us if we hinder you any further.
