So we replaced the starter solenoid because the old one would hang up and just keep trying to start the bike, or some times it wouldn't work at all. So the new one i ordered was a Ricks Motorsports  65-102. It looks different in that there is a fuse and it doesn't fit in the rubber holder as well as the original one. SO here is the problem. We go to connect the new one up and it starts sparking and smoking a little at the terminal. then the fuse blew. Could we be doing something wrong? Backwards? not really sure how else to install it, it seems self explanatory but then i can be retarded some times. Anyway we put the old one back on for now and all is ok, but we would like to get a new one on there so we don't get stranded some where

Take a look at the old and new solenoids for the letters A & B where the battery cables go. Make sure they're the same on both of them. If not, reverse them.
